New Saint Peter High School

On March 10, 2015 voters in the school district residents passed a $58,595,000 bond referendum to build a new Saint Peter High School (grades 9-12), repurpose South Elementary into a K-1 building, North Intermediate into a 2-4 building, and the current middle/high school into a middle school (grades 5-8) and early childhood programming.

The bond referendum provides funds to Saint Peter Public Schools to meet it commitment to the Saint Peter Community for educational excellence through innovation, renovation and collaboration.

Commitment to STEM and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Mathematics) programming for elementary, intermediate, middle and high school learners.


Repurposing all buildings to benefit students at all grade levels.

Cooperation with the City of Saint Peter on the development of a new high school-city park campus, addressing recreational and facilities needs for the school and community.

Establishing a workforce development center at the new high school that supports and enhances academy-based learning for students in the areas of agriculture science, manufacturing and engineering.

Working with local and regional workforce leaders to enhance adult worker skills and training opportunities in the development center at the new high school.

Continued location of Community Education at the Saint Peter Community Center.
