The Minnesota Education Department requires Minnesota teachers to
renew their teaching license every five years. To renew your teaching
license you must submit 125 continuing education units (CEU) to your
Continuing Education Committee within the five year period of your
present license. You will also need to address four professional
development activities within the 125 CEUs. One CEU will have to be
earned for each activity to complete the licensing requirements.
Remember if you have to renew your license this year, you will have to
do it on line. To enter the site you will need your file folder number
and the first six digits of the serial number from your most recently
issued Minnesota license. All licenses to be renewed must be full-time,
five-year professional license(s) expiring in the current calendar year,
