Mrs. Bastian, Special Needs Teacher

Greetings! My name is Mrs. Deborah Bastian. I have been a faculty member of the St. Peter Middle/High School since the fall on 1991. The majority of my teaching responsibilities are geared toward working with students in a resource room setting. I work with students with an assortment of academic needs. Most are in the seventh through ninth grades and need assistance with reading, math, or written language skills. Others work towards improving organizational and study skills.

I also work with general education students in a couple of capacities: Middle School Eighth Grade Homeroom Adviser and St. Peter Middle School Yearbook Adviser.

I graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Learning Disabilities. Then I completed my Master of Science Degree in Special Education with a focus in Learning Disabilities. I am certified to work with students grades K-12. I enjoy being in a school setting and I take pleasure having the opportunity to work with young people in a variety of ways.
