Algebra 2 Concepts & Skills

Mrs. Annexstad

Description:           “Why do I have to take an algebra course?”  Well, algebra is one of the cornerstones of today’s technology boom.  Without algebra there would not exist a single TV, radio, telephone, microwave oven, or other gadget that makes modern life so comfortable and interesting.  Once you learn algebra, you will have the opportunity to help design and create the next generation of technology.  You will secure yourself a place in tomorrow’s workforce.

Algebra II is designed to build on concepts that were learned in Algebra I.  The focus of Algebra II is quadratic equations.  Other focuses will include trigonometry and exponential functions. Algebra is the language of technology.  Topics covered in the course will included:  inequalities, functions, equations, graphing, polynomials and rational expressions.
