Spelling Schedule

The following is a sketch of how spelling work is done on a weekly basis. Shortened weeks will not have spelling.

Seventh Grade:

Monday: Spelling study sheets handed out

Tuesday: Sort the Spelling Words Due (front section on the spelling study sheet) and spelling test taken (four words) Words are chosen randomly for the spelling test

Wednesday: Spelling Clues Due (back of study sheet) and spelling test taken (four words)

Thursday: Proofreading Due (back of study sheet) and spelling test taken (four words)

Friday: Fun With Words Due (back of study sheet) and spelling test taken (last four words) Study sheets are collected on Friday.

Eighth Grade:

Monday: Spelling study sheets handed out

Tuesday: Sort the Spelling Words Due (front section on the spelling study sheet) and spelling test taken (five words) Words are chosen randomly for the spelling test

Wednesday: Spelling and Vocabulary section Due (back of study sheet) and spelling test taken (five words)

Thursday: Spelling and Reading Due (back of study sheet) and spelling test taken (five words)

Friday: Spelling and Writing Due (back of study sheet) and spelling test taken (last five words) Study sheets are collected on Friday.

Eight grade will also have a vocabulary question on each spelling test.
