Welcome to Our Classroom!

My name is Brittany Galetka; I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls in the winter of 2010. After graduation I married my best friend and moved to Alaska! I did my first year of teaching on an island in the middle of the freezing cold Bering Sea. I have taught 3rd grade at North for two years and look forward to many more years here in St. Peter!

As your child’s teacher my goals are to have meaningful relationships with my students; to reach into their lives and show them something they might not have known they were capable of doing, and to motivate them to become better community members and active citizens. I want all my students to know that they are loved and cared for in my class. I want them to know that we will work hard exploring new and exciting things while having fun everyday.  I enjoy using hands on technology in my classroom like SMART boards and iPads. As a professional I want to learn just as much as my students.

I am also a new mom, my son was born in January so I apoligise if your students come home with a Colton story every now and then.

I look forward to meeting you at open house!
