Hello from your teacher!

Greetings from Room 214!

Today we started Accelerated Reader (AR) Book Club. Students were randomly placed in a fifth grade teacher's classroom. Each afternoon from 1:45-2:15 students will read independently a self-selected book that is at their ability level. After completion of reading a book, students take an AR comprehension test to earn points. Students have set goals with their homeroom teacher and will work towards attaining their monthly goal. Please encourage your child to read at home each evening to supplement this reading incentive program.
