Kindergarten

Current Unit:  Friends and Fun  Students will be assessed on their ability to:

• *identify walking, jogging, and skipping/galloping rhythms.
• *identify melodies that move upward and downward.

First Grade

Current Unit:  Making Friends  Students will be assessed on their ability to:

• *identify the four groups of percussion instruments (drums, woods, metals, & shakers/scrapers).
• *read rhythmic patterns with one and two sounds to a beat.

Second Grade

Current Unit:  Our Musical World  Students will be assessed on their ability to:

• *describe music from different continents and cultures.
• *accurately read rhythms with half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes and quarter rests.
• *sing pitches do, mi, so, and la.
