Hi! My name is Terry Pedersen and I am a 1st Grade teacher at South Early Learning Center. All children are important and special learners to me and I believe my job is to nurture and guide them as they become life-long learners and our future citizens.

I have three children, two sons who live and work in Minneapolis and a daughter in college.

I graduated from Luther College and have taken graduate courses at the University of Idaho and Mankato. My experience includes teaching in Iowa and Wisconsin, as well as 15 years of Administrative Residential work at college level. I worked as Assistant Director at Gustavus from 1993-96 before studying in Idaho and returning to St. Peter in 1999. This is my 10th year as a teacher in St. Peter.

Favorite things: READING, cross-stitch, knitting, music, walking, translating German and Danish, and being a life-long learner.

Technology is getting to be a new passion as I continue to challenge myself at SMARTboard use in the classroom, along with digital videos, pictures and facebook.

My favorite story is THE UGLY DUCKLING by Hans Christian Andersen.
