I am excited about starting the school year this year. I have taught in this School District my entire teaching career. I taught special education my first 5 years. The rest of my teaching career has been in the areas of first and second grade. I continue to teach second grade. I team teach with Mr. Francis. Mr. Francis teaches my class science. I graduated from MSU and later went back to get my Masters in Elementary Education. I continue to take classes beyond my degree to continue learning.
I have lived in Mankato for the past 30 years. My husband Marlow and I have two daughters. Beth our oldest graduated from Stout in Wisconsin. She works in Minneapolis. Our youngest Becca just graduated with her Masters in Psychology and is now looking for a job.We have 2 pets. A sheltie named Ladybug and a cat named Tiger Lily. Our large yard has become our hobby. I love gardening and flower arranging. I work at Hilltop Florist and Greenhouse part-time. I am so lucky to be able to work with children and flowers.
