Hi my name is Stacy Abel, and I am a special education teacher at South Elementary Early Learning Center!
I am originally from New Ulm, MN. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from St. Cloud State University in 2005. I went back to school to get my Master of Science degree in Special Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in 2010. I hold K-12 Special Education licenses in the areas of Specific Learning Disabilities and Emotional Behavioral Disorders, and a license in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders from Southwest Minnesota State University.
I began teaching in New Ulm in 2006 in a classroom with students on the Autism spectrum. From 2007-2015 I taught at Le Center Elementary School, first part of the Le Center Public Schools and then Tri-City United Public Schools. I am so excited to be teaching, now, at South!
My husband and I live in rural St. Peter. We have twin 3-year old boys and a one year old boy who keep us very busy and tired! We also have a black lab and a cat. I like to read and love to spend time outdoors playing, gardening, or kayaking.
