Learn to Read, Read to Learn!
Welcome! I am Heidi Wenner and I have been a teacher for over 20 years. I taught kindergarten in Cleveland for 9 years. I spent five years at home with my family, and worked part-time in the teaching field for 7 years. This is my 6th year teaching at South Early Learning Center(ELC). I am happy to be a part of the excellent team of teachers at South ELC. I live in St. Peter with my husband, Bruce. We have four children their names are: Marty (a senior at MSU), Megan (a junior at Concordia College-Moorhead), Mackenzie (freshman at St. Ben's), and Michael (11th grade). I love to spend time with my family and attending their sporting events. When I have some free time I like to swim, walk our dog Muffy, read, sew, bake, and eat what I baked! I believe that when provided with a caring and nurtured environment, all children can be taught the joy of learning. When a child is taught the joy of learning it becomes a life-long process that never stops. That is both the challenge and joy of teaching.
