2020-2021 Covid-19 Response

Parent/Student COVID Reopening Handbook

September 20th, 2020 Email Communication

Dear Saint Peter Schools Families,

As we begin another week of school we want to thank you for everything you are doing to help our students and staff to be successful in the hybrid model. We continue to monitor the data regarding the spread of COVID-19 in the communities we serve and are able to continue with the hybrid model.

Please continue to monitor everyone in your household for COVID-19 symptoms. As a reminder, any student who has been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 needs to stay home, quarantined, for a minimum of 14 days. This is regardless of test results and includes those who have received a negative COVID-19 test result. It is important to remember that individuals cannot test out of quarantine after a close contact. This is because it may take up to 14 days for COVID to develop and show a positive result to testing.

For those who do not know if they have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 but are feeling sick should follow the guidance provided by the state.

If you are calling school to report that your child will be absent, please provide a reason for the absence and what symptoms they are experiencing. This will help us to determine the need for follow up.

Thank you again for all you are doing to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Wearing masks, social distancing, regularly washing hands and avoiding touching your face all make a difference!

As always,
Thank you for being part of the Saints Nation, where we are Saints Strong & Everyone Belongs!

Kind Regards,

Bill Gronseth
