High school students use a variety of shared virtual spaces (SVS) in their traditional classes, including Google Classroom, Moodle, and Edmodo. On Flexible Learning Days, students access their teacher’s SVS to retrieve the day’s assignments. Teachers have assignments posted to their SVS by 10:00 am and are available for questions and discussion via that space or email throughout the day.
For those students without internet access who live close to the high school, the school is open for computer use. Additionally, the high school also has several internet “hotspots” for students to check out from the media center. For students with limited or no online access, faculty members provide flexibility on assignment deadlines.
