Greetings from North Elementary School
This is always such an exciting time of the year. We welcome back our returning students and can’t wait to meet our new second-graders for a “North Star” adventure. Our staff members are busy preparing classrooms and lessons to make this the best year yet!
North Elementary will have seven sections of second-grade, six sections of third-grade and seven sections of fourth-grade this school year. If you are new to our community and have not registered your child(ren), we ask that you stop by the district office entrance on Broadway as soon as you are able to complete the registration process.
- We are excited to be offering "Back to School” Family/Teacher meetings again this year on September 4th and 5th from 7:30-3:30PM each day. (Grades 9-12 will have regular school days on these dates.) Students and their parents are invited to schedule a 20 minute meeting with their teacher, take a self-guided tour of the facility, pay lunch accounts and get answers to other questions. All families will receive welcome letters from North in the mail the second week of August with details about signing up for the sessions.
- School pictures will be taken during the "Back to School" meeting days. Please have your child ready to have his/her picture taken. If your family is unable to attend on September 4th and 5th, we will have one make-up day for pictures in early October during a regular school day.
- Want to stay “up to the minute” with the North Elementary parent event calendar? Enter the following web address in your mobile device’s web browser and all North Elementary School events will automatically load into your calendar app. http://bit.ly/northcalendar
- Regular classes begin for 2nd-4th grade students on Thursday, September 6; the day running from 7:55 a.m. until 2:50 p.m. (Playground supervision starts at 7:30AM)
We look forward to a great school year! Thank you for the support you give our school district. Together we are able to provide a wonderful educational journey for your children. As always, if you have questions or concerns, please let me know.
If you are new to our community and have not registered your children, we ask that you stop by and visit with Kathy Wobbrock at our Early Childhood Center office as soon as you are able. That office is located at 100 Lincoln Drive (Broadway Avenue Entrance - Door V).
