Read & Feed (Summer 2019)

The Read and Feed program begins Wednesday, June 5, at Saint Peter Middle School and runs through Friday, Aug. 9. Due to ceiling work being completed this summer, the Read and Feed will not be held at North Elementary this year but there will be a Transit Bus Stop at North. Please see pick up times below. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

At the Read and Feed children ages 1 to 18 may eat a free, nutritious meal and participate in reading activities if they choose. The menu for the Read and Feed program can be found by clicking HERE. There is no registration required for this program. Just come - everyone is welcome!

Adults may choose to purchase breakfast for $2.30, lunch for $4.05, OR bring their own food.

Public Transit is providing free transportation to and from the Middle School Read and Feed site from various locations within Saint Peter. Those stops include (please be at bus stop no later than times listed):

10:10 a.m. - Marway Trailer Park (Laundromat)
10:15 a.m. - Nicollet Meadows (Daniels Street)
10:25 a.m. - Fairview Apartments (Playground
10:30 a.m. - North Intermediate (Bus Driveway)
10:35 a.m. - Maplewood Apartments (Parking Lot)
10:40 a.m. - Summit Park (Mail Room)
10:55 a.m. - Green Valley (Mail Boxes)

ACTIVITIES - All children are invited to participate in FREE reading activities scheduled during the lunch program. Activities are available from 11:30-12:00 each day

EXPLORATION RECREATION at Read & Feed on Tuesdays all summer from 12:30-2 p.m. Exploration Recreation is a brand new program that promises to bring fun for all throughout the summer! The City of Saint Peter Recreation Department is bringing fun activities for children and families in eight public locations, four days a week. Fun activities including giant board games, sports, arts & crafts, books, learning, and more will be set up by Exploration Recreation staff.
