Generous support from Mankato Clinic Foundation & St. Peter Lions makes event possible
North Elementary fourth graders participated in the annual day-long Kindness Retreat on Thursday, (Feb. 19) at Johnson Hall (Nicollet County Fairgrounds). The event schedule was organized and facilitated by the Youth Frontiers organization, with financial support provided by the Mankato Clinic Foundation and the St. Peter Lions Club.
The Kindness Retreat is a high-energy day to give students tools to develop empathy and promote kindness. Members of the Saint Peter High School National Honor Society assisted the Youth Frontiers crew during the event. The retreat facilitators from Youth Frontiers working with our students were Dahlia Jones and Elizabeth Dickey.
The Mankato Clinic Foundation awarded a $2,500 grant for the Kindness Retreat. The physicians at the Mankato Clinic provide the majority of the Foundation funding as a means to give back to the community by providing support to organizations which strive to improve health and wellness.
Additional financial support was provided by the St. Peter Lions Club and additional community member donations for purchase of snacks, pizza, and other materials. Thanks to all of our donors for their generosity and making the Kindness Retreat such an important event!
