Best of luck to the Saint Peter Youth Wrestling’s 7th & 8th grade team and the 21 pre K-grade 6 wrestlers heading to this weekend’s (March 26-29) Northland Youth Wrestling Association’s State Tournament in Rochester. The Saints 7th & 8th team advanced by winning the regional team title this past weekend while the pre-K through 6th graders earned their way through individual sections.
The results of the Saints’ 7th & 8th grade team at the regional meet are as follows:
Round 1: St. Peter 40 - Tracy/Milroy/Balaton 9
Round 2: St. Peter 45 - St. James/Madelia 6
Semis: St. Peter 37 - Le Sueur/Henderson 9
Finals: St. Peter 28 - Worthington 22
