INDIGENOUS PEOPLES' DAY WALK HIGHLIGHTS - A large crowd was on hand at Sunday's annual Indigenous Peoples' Day Walk. The walk started at the Saint Peter Middle School swimming pool parking lot and continued all the way to Minnesota Square Park, where a special program was held and refreshments were served. The event was sponsored by Saint Peter Public Schools' Native American Parent Advisory Committee (NAPAC) and the St. Peter Good Neighbor Diversity Council. Here are some photo highlights from the event.

OLA/HOFFMANN CENTER CELEBRATES HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH - Students and staff at the Oshawa Learning Academy (Leo A. Hoffmann Center) recently celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by learning about Mexico. The students learned about the geography, history, and culture of our neighboring country to the south. To end their lesson, Brenda Gallegos, a unit staff member at the Hoffmann Center, along with an OLA student, planned a lunch menu to prepare for students and staff. They made and served huevos con chorizo and Mexican hot chocolate. Here is a photo of Ms. Brenda making up the food!
