
SPMS FIFTH-GRADE BAND DEMOS - Saint Peter High School and Middle School band director Dave Haugh is hosting band demonstration sessions this week for fifth-grade students interested in playing a musical instrument. Several SPHS band students were also on hand to share their band backgrounds and demonstrate some of the instruments for the prospective band students. 2025 SPPS STAFF RECOGNITION - Saint Peter Public Schools hosted its annual Staff Recognition Reception on Wednesday afternoon at the SPHS Commons. This is the event where school officials honor the Distinguished Service Award winners, those staff members retiring at the end of the school year, and those who have achieved 25 years of service.
This year's honorees include:
Distinguished Service Award: Dr. Jeff Olson (Saint Peter Interim Superintendent and long-time past SPPS administrator, teacher, and coach) and Nickl Rozsa (long-time North Elementary media center support, para, and kitchen support).
Retirees: SPHS - Kris Glidden (PE/Health teacher), Kelly Jensen (SPHS social worker), George Schoenborn (Business Ed teacher), and Christa Herr (paraprofessional); North Elementary - Mike Keller (Custodian) and Nick Rozsa (Support staff); and South Elementary - Heidi Wenner (Kindergarten teacher), Ann Braun (paraprofessional), and Barb Franchino (paraprofessional).
25-years of Service - SPHS - Kurt Moelter (Math teacher); SPMS - Connie Brezina (Special Education); Early Childhood - Helen Hager (paraprofessional).
Before the reception, several members of the SPHS Concert Choir entertained the large crowd with some vocal selections.

SPMS CHOIR CONCERTS TONIGHT! Saint Peter Middle School singers will host two concerts tonight (Monday) at the SPHS Performing Arts Center! Those concerts at the PAC include:
* 6th Grade Choir Concert - 6 p.m.
* 7th & 8th Grade Choir Concert - 7:30 p.m.


ADAPTED BOWLING STATE QUALIFIER INFO - Good luck to the Minnesota River Strike Force adapted bowling team as they head to the Wow Zone in Mankato on Thursday morning to compete at the State Qualifying Tournament.
Singles action gets underway at 10 a.m. while the doubles competition is slated for 1 p.m. Coaches for the team include Kris Voeltz and Keith Bense. Members of the 2025 Minnesota River Strike Force team include the following:

SPMS HOLIDAY ASSEMBLY FUN! Students and staff at Saint Peter Middle School got the last day of school before winter break off to a good start with an assembly in the school gym on Friday morning. The most recent Students of the Month were recognized at the assembly and SPMS staff led a couple of fun games (Dice Roll & Snowball Roll).

SPMS HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT - Band students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades at Saint Peter Middle School staged their annual Holiday Band Concert on Monday evening at the SPHS Performing Arts Center in front of a large crowd of family and friends.

NATIONAL INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATOR DAY - We want to recognize Saints’ Activities Director Shea Roehrkasse and his administrative assistant Zoe Haugen for their outstanding work on behalf of our student-athletes and coaches throughout the school year. Thanks, Shea & Zoe, for all your hard work and dedication to the Saints Nation!


SPMS 5TH GRADE WINTER CONCERT - Fifth graders at Saint Peter Middle School hosted their annual Winter Concert on Tuesday evening at the SPHS Performing Arts Center, under the direction of Jamie Abels. SIXTH GRADE CHOIR CONCERT - Saint Peter Middle School sixth graders staged their annual Spring Concert on Monday evening at the SPHS Performing Arts Center. Under the direction of SPMS music instructor Jamie Abels, the sixth grade choir performed six selections during their show at the PAC. Here are some photo highlights!









SPMS HOSTS FRIDAY MORNING ASSEMBLY - Students at Saint Peter Middle School kicked off their Friday morning with a rousing start during a PBIS-sponsored assembly to start the school day. The SPHS Jazz Band was on hand to play the school song as well as perform two selections ("Wiggy" and "Soul Bossa Nova) under the direction of Dave Haugh. Also included was a Minute-To-Win-It scooter relay race and the finals of the school-wide Rock, Paper, Scissors competition won by sixth grader Dane Wenner! Here are some photo highlights!










SPMS MATH MASTERS COMPETES AT BLC - Saint Peter Middle School’s fifth-grade Math Masters teams made the short trek on Friday to Bethany Lutheran College to compete in a 43-team event that included 215 individual participants as well.
