SPHS FFA field is harvested

The 40-acre corn field, monitored by Saint Peter High School FFA and agri-science students and their advisors during the school year, was harvested this week through a partnership with the Johnson family of St. Peter. The field is located just outside the west edge of St. Peter (northwest of the intersection of Traverse Road and Nicollet Avenue).

“This wouldn’t be possible without some amazing partners we have with this project each year,” Jacob Pehrson, SPHS FFA co-advisor, said. “We are so thankful for the help we received from the Johnson family (Tom, Neal, Ben, and Mitch) with the harvest. They hauled it to one of our other partners, Traverse Elevator, who provides exceptional grain handling services, one of their many attributes. It's partnerships like these, within our community, that allow SPHS to provide such a unique educational experience.”

Special thanks to Mr. Pehrson for sharing these photos of the Johnson family harvesting the corn!
