State cross country recap

Congrats to the Saints cross country trio of Keira Friedrich, Alex Bur, and Lucia Penner for their outstanding showing at the Minnesota State Class AA Cross Country Meet in St. Paul over the weekend! This year's meet was at the University of Minnesota's Les Bolstad Golf Course in St. Paul.

Friedrich led the way with a 10th-place finish in the girls' races, which earned her a spot on the medal stand as well as All-State honors for the second straight year. The sophomore standout placed 21st a year ago at state as the top 25 earned All-State honors. Penner, just an eighth grader, placed 97th out of 160 runners in her first-ever trip to state and has a very bright future ahead!

Bur placed 34th overall in his first-ever venture to the state meet and was only six seconds away from earning All-State honors (top 25).
