Saint Peter Public Schools

Saint Peter Middle School students recently experienced a job interview in-person through the Southern MN Districts and Greater Mankato Area at Junior Achievement North’s BizTown program. The mock interviews were conducted in the SPMS media center by JA BizTown volunteers from Federated Insurance, Abdo Solutions, and First National Bank Minnesota.

"After 12 lessons of JA BizTown curriculum, today, 6th-grade students were given the opportunity to participate in a mock interview with a business professional," Katie Mons, Senior Manager of Southern MN Districts and Greater Mankato Area at Junior Achievement North, said. "Later this month, students will get bussed up to JA North in St. Paul where they will run a shop for the day, earn a paycheck, and get to spend some of their hard-earned money at the shops.

"I am always impressed by St. Peter students and how seriously they take these mock interviews. It is excellent preparation for what they can expect in real life as they get older."
