South Elementary kindergarten students made their annual visit by bus to the St. Peter Police Station on May 14 and 15, under the direction of St. Peter School Resource Officer (SRO) Jon Hughes. St. Peter Police Chief Matt Grochow and other officers and staff at the St. Peter Police Department also assisted during the visit.
Students were given a tour of the station and saw a patrol car up close with the help of SRO Hughes and other police staff members. Community Service Officer Lilliana Figueroa, Office Coordinator Malinda Meyer, and Dispatcher Amber Schott assisted the kindergarten visitors with their fingerprint cards, which each student was able to take home.
