Saint Peter Public Schools

While there is still one day left in the school year at North Elementary, second and third grade students and North staff sent off this year’s fourth graders in rousing fashion with the final assembly of the year on Wednesday morning.

Before the assembly, the second and third graders and their teachers lined the hallway leading to the gym to wish the fourth graders well as they will move up to the Saint Peter Middle School building this fall as fifth graders.

Once the students were all seated inside the gym, several awards were presented to members of the fourth grade class that were voted on by their classmates. Those award winners included the following:

Responsible Rock Star Award winners - Henry Estrada, Logan Midthun, Elsie Bienfang, Madden Guida, Miles Hoffman, James Fitzpatrick, Owen Klein, Caprice Lauters, and McKenna O’Konek.

Gritty Go-Getters Award winners - Autumn Nelson, Kamden Kerling, Sam Silvoza, Martin Ortega Caceres, and Izzy Bauer. 

Legendary Leader Award winners - Tenley Powell, Gannon Guentzel, Elsie Bienfang, Addison Seitzer, Lucia Weisbrod, and Lucille Hedberg.

Principal Darin Doherty and North third grade teacher Bre Landsteiner also recognized retiring North staff members who are retiring at the end of the school year – Mike Keller (custodian), Erin Domras (paraprofessional), and Nick Rozsa (media center support/former paraprofessional). Mrs. Domras and Mr. Nick (Mr. Keller was out of the building at the time) received a rousing ovation and wave of high fives from the students as they departed the gym one final time.
