South Elementary art students (grades K-1) under the tutelage of Mrs. Nyhammer, the school’s art teacher, took part in a unique project this week with their work being put on display in the school’s hallways.

“Our kindergarten and first grade students read the book "The Dot" and learned about the growth mindset while creating a mini work of art to become a school-wide installation,” Nyhammer said. “This gave our first grade students a chance to work on a project using tertiary colors, while the kindergarten students focused on the use of primary and secondary colors as part of their project.”
