Early Childhood Center preschool students in Colleen Wenner’s class recently took part in a variety of Indigenous Peoples Day activities during a classroom session.
“In my Discovery Days class, we learned about Jingle Dresses, and then we read the story, 'Finding My Dance' by Ria Thundercloud,” Ms. Colleen, as she’s known to the kids at the Early Childhood Center, said. “We watched a short video of dancing and tried dancing ourselves. Then they worked in groups to create their own jingle dresses.”
