Several Saint Peter High School’s National Honor Society members gathered together in the first floor humanities pod to help put together care kits which will be distributed to area homeless shelters. Each care kit was packed into a drawstring bag and included the following items:

  • 1 hat

  • 1 pair of gloves

  • 1 neck warmer

  • 1 water bottle

  • 1 pair of socks

  • 1 pack of hand warmers

  • 1 trailmix

  • 1 Cliff bar

  • 1 kleenex pack

  • 3 body wipes

  • 1 deodorant stick

  • 1 hand sanitizer

  • 5 Bandaids

  • 1 antibiotic ointment

  • Saint Peter High School Card

“We raised enough money to make 100 care kits through our schoolwide Penny War challenge and generous donations from local businesses including St. Peter Family Dental, St. Peter Laundry, First Lutheran Church, Mazatlan, and St. Peter Recreation,” SPHS NHS Advisor Regina Sirianni said. “These will be delivered to local shelters including Union Street Place, The Reach, Salvation Army, and Connections Shelter.
