Students and staff at North Elementary (grades 2-4) gathered in the school’s gym at the end of the day on Thursday for an assembly to kick off third quarter. Principal Darin Doherty provided a welcome message and he then provided info on the I Love to Read Month and Bingo Unplugged activities taking place at North.
The assembly also included Ms. Zitur giving details on the upcoming Arts & Academic Night, set for 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 5. Among the activities taking place that day includes the Interest Fair, Science Fair, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts exhibits. (Students should contact their teachers with any questions about Arts & Academic Night.)
Students took part in this quarter’s Staff Shoutouts and a recap on North’s January theme of “Gratitude.” The event ended with the announcement of the results of the most recent Top 5 Contest (favorite book series, favorite day of school, favorite dress up days). Student winners were Harper Meyer, Cameron Brovold, and Easton Jaeger, while Mrs. Friedrich was the staff winner.
Above and below are some photo highlights for the assembly!
