North Elementary and the Middle School will participate in the biannual Bike and Roll to School event on Wednesday, May 6. North Elementary kids will participate from 7:30 to 7:55 a.m., and the Middle School students will participate from 7:45 to 8:20 a.m. This event encourages active commuting while fostering a strong sense of community and school spirit.

“Local law enforcement will be stationed at busier crosswalks around both schools to help ensure student safety,” SPPS School Resource Officer Jon Hughes said. “Our ending locations will be the bike racks in the North Elementary parking lot and the bike racks on Lincoln Drive for the Middle School.”
Please note that for North Elementary, Saints Bus Service will drop off all bus students at the First Lutheran Church parking lot. As a result, the Traverse Road sidewalk is expected to be especially busy during this time, according to Hughes.
