Josie Scrabeck -
Athletics (Swimming and diving) - Nominated by Mary Lager her coach.
Josie is in 7th grade and she is excelling in the sport of swimming and diving! Josie has dropped time in all of her races this season. What is most impressive is her positive attitude and her outstanding work ethic. At practice she has developed strength and endurance, and has moved up to be the leader of Lane 1.
Josie has learned to swim all four strokes in practice. At a recent MS swim meet, Josie swam the 100 Individual Medley for the first-time with a time of 1:29.11 good for 4th place. She also took two 1st Place finishes with her leg in the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relay. Her final race was the 100 Breaststroke where she placed 3rd. Josie recently competed in the Section 1 A True Team Meet in 4 varsity events.
Kolby Nixon -
Morning Strength and Agility Program - Nominated by Brock Hanson the Strength and Agility coach.
Kolby has shown dedication to the morning strength and agility program through his consistent attendance each week. He is a disciplined member of the program which is shown through his focus and drive to accomplish his work efficiently each session. He is a positive leader who is respected by others in attendance.
