OLA/HOFFMANN CENTER CELEBRATES HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH - Students and staff at the Oshawa Learning Academy (Leo A. Hoffmann Center) recently celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by learning about Mexico. The students learned about the geography, history, and culture of our neighboring country to the south. To end their lesson, Brenda Gallegos, a unit staff member at the Hoffmann Center, along with an OLA student, planned a lunch menu to prepare for students and staff. They made and served huevos con chorizo and Mexican hot chocolate. Here is a photo of Ms. Brenda making up the food!
