Gov. Walz visits SPHS

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz visited Saint Peter High School Thursday afternoon where he toured a portion of the building including the academic pods, special education classrooms, the FACS room, fine arts wing, and Performing Arts Center.  The visit was part of a swing through the south-central part of the state for Gov. Walz.

Accompanying Gov. Walz on the tour was 2005 SPHS alum Patrick Tanis, who works as Deputy Chief of Staff for External Relations for Governor Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan. Also as part of the group were St. Peter Mayor Shanon Nowell and MN State Rep. Jeff Brand (18A).

SPHS Principal Annette Engeldinger, with the help of SPHS Student Council reps Ximena Olivares and Liana Snow, led the building walk-through with Gov. Walz.

Shown above and below are some photo highlights from Gov. Walz's visit.
