North's Arts & Academics Night

North Elementary School is hosting its annual Arts and Academic Night on Thursday, March 7, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Students participating show off their interests, hobbies, talents, science fair projects, and art pieces. They take the time to plan, construct, and present their boards to attendees, as a way of showcasing topics that are important to them.

This year, there are a total of 33 elementary schoolers bringing their interests and topics to life, from animals to famous artists, to sports, to even cool science projects. This night is a chance for North Elementary students to bring a piece of their life to the community in an exciting fashion!

During the science fair, students will present their topics on a trifold, while also modeling the “Question, Hypothesis, Procedure, Test, and Result” process. Topics include things like plant growth, information about tornadoes, and the most effective type of hula hoop.

For the interest fair, elementary school students use a trifold to show their “interest” in a presentation manner. From puppies to sharks, to Taylor Swift, these students cover it all!

“The purpose of the night is for students to showcase their talents outside of school,” Niki Zitur, North Elementary third-grade teacher, said.

North Elementary School looks forward to this night all year, recruiting dozens of students to participate and show off their fun projects. Join us this year for another successful night!”
