SPHS National Honor Society new inductees (Fall 2025)

Saint Peter High School’s newest members of the National Honor Society, 53 of them in all, were inducted at a special ceremony at the SPHS Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The National Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, the SPHS chapter of NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.

SPHS school counselor and NHS advisor Regina Sirianni presided over the induction ceremony while Principal Annette Engeldinger provided the address. Current SPHS NHS leadership team members Keira Friedrich, Katherine Callahan, Lathe Bly, Vivian Christenson, and Aisha Burale spoke on the history/future of the SPHS NHS Chapter along with the four pillars that serve as standards for NHS -- Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. NHS Leadership team member Rowyn Myhra introduced the new inductees.

“We are so excited to welcome our newest members to our chapter, we have a large group this year!” Sirianni said. “They all have already proven to be great students and will bring lots to our already amazing chapter!”
