Friends of Learning is a collaboration between Nicollet County Health and Human Services, St. Peter Lions Club, St. Peter Kiwanis, Friends of the St. Peter Library, and the Salvation Army. This collaborative is committed to helping families in St. Peter and rural Nicollet County obtain necessary school supplies. In 2026, Friends of Learning is expecting to serve at least 650 students.
They offer families who might otherwise struggle to purchase school supplies the basic items listed on the school supply list. Students will start the school year off right with the tools needed to help them succeed.
The program is limited to Nicollet County residents and children in grades kindergarten through grade 12 and the DEADLINE TO APPLY IS AUGUST 7TH. If interested in participating, please complete an application for each student which can be found by clicking HERE .
School supply donations and monetary contributions are also being accepted. Collection barrels for supplies are located throughout the community. Monetary donations can be sent to Friends of Learning, PO Box 156, St. Peter, MN 56082 or through Venmo @Friendsof-Learning.
