Best of luck to the Saints’ girls tennis team as they will compete in the Minnesota State Girls Tennis Tournament starting at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Life Time in Bloomington. The second-seeded Saints will face a familiar state foe when they take on unseeded Mahtomedi. The Zephyrs, seeded first a year ago, edged the Saints, seeded eighth last year, 4-3 in the state tourney opening round.
This will be the Saints' third state team tourney trip in program history. Last year’s team was the first since the 1997 squad placed third by winning two of three matches at state.
