SPHS Creative Writing class

Saint Peter High School’s Creative Writing class, taught first semester by Paulette Topel, has created a Google site featuring some of the literary works by the students in that class. The site can be accessed by clicking HERE or going to https://sites.google.com/stpet...

“This amazing group of gifted young people in grades 9-12 have worked hard this past semester,” Topel said. “I am proud of them for committing to their craft, pushing their boundaries, and supporting each other along the way. I feel so lucky to have started my day (during first semester) with this group; they have inspired me, challenged me, and reminded me why I chose to do this job almost 30 years ago. It would be a shame if I were the only one to have the opportunity to read their fantastic writing. That’s why we created the Google site to share their work with others.”

The Creative Writing class’s site features a small sample of poems, short stories and creative nonfiction pieces written by the students in Topel’s class. There is also a feedback form at the bottom of the home page for people to comment on the students’ work.
