SPHS MOCK CRASH INFO - Just letting the public know that Saint Peter High School will host a Mock Crash demonstration at 11:50 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, April 23) at the high school's west parking lot. Saint Peter School Resource Officer Jon Hughes is organizing the event, and it will include several area law enforcement agencies and emergency personnel participating in the event. SPHS NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY'S FOOD DRIVE UPDATE - The SPHS National Honor Society chapter hosted its annual Food Drive this past week and collected 277 pounds of food for the St. Peter Area Food Shelf! SPHS STUDENTS DEPART FOR SPANISH LANGUAGE CAMP - A group of Saint Peter High School students in grades 9-12 from Vero Castillo-Clark’s Spanish classes departed mid-morning on Thursday for the Bemidji area to participate in Concordia Language Village’s Spanish Language Immersion Camp over the weekend. Castillo-Clark and Christian Juantos, one of Saint Peter Public Schools' cultural liaisons, are the chaperones for the group. The camp is part of Concordia Language Villages’ language immersion programs for school groups. World Language teachers organize trips during the academic year for these three- and four-day programs. Village Field Trips are programs designed for school groups to experience language and culture immersion outside of the classroom. SPHS CHOIR STUDENTS AT DORIAN FESTIVAL - A group of Saint Peter High School choir students took part at the 75th annual Dorian Vocal Festival at Luther College (Decorah, Iowa) today under the guidance of SPHS choir director Brianna Bergstrom! Around 900 students from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois come together and sing at this festival. Those students making the trip to Dorian on Monday included Gabe Zayas, Max Bultman, Kaden Throldahl, Derek Guth, Braedon Dornfeld, Quinn Dixon, Iris Elias, Isabelle Mish, Rebekah Roemhildt, and Eleanor Hughes.
