SCHOOL CLOSING INFO FOR MONDAY - Saint Peter Public Schools will be closed tomorrow (Monday, March 16) due to the current weather situation, and we will be implementing a Flexible Learning Day. Please note that all practices, games, and events scheduled for Monday have also been canceled.
Teachers will be available via email and classroom virtual spaces. Principals can be reached by phone or email, and parents are encouraged to contact them with any questions.

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Hartfiel's class had a special guest reader earlier this week when former South teacher Mrs. Sizer dropped by to read the book, "Maxi the Taxi," to the kids. SPHS & SPMS MARCH 10TH BAND CONCERT INFO - Saint Peter High School and Saint Peter Middle School band departments, under the direction of Dave Haugh, take to the SPHS Performing Arts Center stage on Tuesday, March 10.
The Saint Peter Middle School bands (gr. 6-8) take to the PAC stage first at 6 p.m., followed by the SPHS Band’s Pre-Greece Trip Concert taking over at 7:30 p.m. Both concerts are FREE and open to the public! The SPHS Band (gr. 9-12) will be traveling to Greece the week of March 27-April 4.

SPHS SENIOR NAMED NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP FINALIST - Congrats to Saint Peter High School senior Allen Nienow, who was recently informed he is one of 15,000 high school seniors to be named a National Merit Scholarship Program finalist. Nienow received word in the fall of 2025 that he was a program semifinalist and now moves on to the next round. These academically talented high school senior finalists have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,930 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered later this spring.

SPHS KNOWLEDGE BOWL TEAMS SWEEP TOP 3 AT MANKATO - Congrats to the Saint Peter High School Knowledge Bowl teams as they swept the top three spots in the team standings at Friday’s meet in Mankato.
The SPHS Caput Mortuum team claimed the top spot, followed by Neon Slate in second and Indigo in third. The other two teams competing, Fuchsia and Magenta, placed 10th and 12th, respectively, out of 33 teams!

NORTH 'I LOVE TO READ MONTH' ACTIVITIES - North Elementary students (gr. 2-4) are taking advantage of February being 'I Love to Read Month.' Students have been busy voting on Bookmark Design Contest submissions, wearing readable shirts, coloring banners for the hallway, while at home they are completing BINGO unplugged for a chance to win a prize pack, and participating in DEAR (drop everything and read) time at school. Activities will continue throughout the month of February.
