
SPHS SAINTS OF THE WEEK — Congrats to SPHS seniors Meghan Sikkema and Emily Sustaita for being named Saint Peter High School's Saints of the Week. The SPHS staff recognized them for showing respect, acting responsibly, and living with integrity!

SPECIAL EARLY CHILDHOOD EVENT TONIGHT - Join us tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 5 to 6 p.m. for our Early Childhood Family Education Kick Off!
Our early childhood gym will be open with obstacle course fun and cookies will be available. This event is open to children 6 years old and younger and their caregiver. Caregivers must stay with and supervise their children.
Please enter the building using the Broadway entrance and follow the signs to the Early Childhood gym in the lower level.
We are excited to see you for some warm wintertime fun!

SPHS CHOIR STUDENTS AT DORIAN FESTIVAL - A group of Saint Peter High School choir students took part at the 75th annual Dorian Vocal Festival at Luther College (Decorah, Iowa) today under the guidance of SPHS choir director Brianna Bergstrom! Around 900 students from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois come together and sing at this festival.
Those students making the trip to Dorian on Monday included Gabe Zayas, Max Bultman, Kaden Throldahl, Derek Guth, Braedon Dornfeld, Quinn Dixon, Iris Elias, Isabelle Mish, Rebekah Roemhildt, and Eleanor Hughes.

RAD ZOO AT SOUTH ELEMENTARY - Jamie Pastika, director of the Reptile & Amphibian Discovery Zoo in Medford, MN, dropped by South Elementary on Monday morning with some of his "friends" to entertain the kindergarten and first-grade students. Here are some photo highlights!






Today (Jan. 9th) is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! Saint Peter Public Schools would like to recognize our School Resource Officer Jon Hughes and all law enforcement officers in our community/school district for their vital role in keeping our students and staff safe! Thanks for all you do!


SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH SURVEY - As a reminder, the anonymous public Superintendent Search Survey is available for all interested parties to fill out until Sunday, Jan. 12 at the following link → https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SuptSearchSaintPeter.
Hard copies of the survey are also available at the District Office in St. Peter (100 Lincoln Drive). Please return any completed surveys to the same location by January 12 so they can be included with the online survey results.


ALL-NIGHT GRAD PARTY IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS - The Saint Peter All-Night Graduation Party (ANGP) committee is looking for people to join their committee! They are looking for someone to continue Fundraising Activities and Communication.

EARLY CHILDHOOD WINTER FUN - Pre-K students at the Saint Peter Early Childhood Center has been busy recently with winter-themed activities. Here are some photo highlights of the kids in action.

PRE-WINTER BREAK FUN AT NORTH! The last days of school before winter break are always exciting at North Elementary with various dress-up days and other activities to go along with the usual school work.
Traditionally, Principal Darin Doherty serves up some classic coffee beverages to North staff as a showing of his gratitude for all they do for North Elementary and this year was no different! Mr. Doherty's son, Mason, was on hand to help him deliver the tasty beverages.
Staff also got into the pre-break fun by competing in a day-long Rock, Paper, Scissors contest where beads were on the line. Here are some photo highlights from the fun last day of classes of the 2024 calendar year!






SPMS HOLIDAY ASSEMBLY FUN! Students and staff at Saint Peter Middle School got the last day of school before winter break off to a good start with an assembly in the school gym on Friday morning. The most recent Students of the Month were recognized at the assembly and SPMS staff led a couple of fun games (Dice Roll & Snowball Roll).

SCHOOL CLOSED/FLEXIBLE LEARNING DAY INFO - Due to the inclement weather, Saint Peter Public Schools will have no classes in person today (Thursday, Dec. 19). Instead it will be a flexible learning day for all students.


SOUTH KIDS CREATE GINGERBREAD HOUSES - Some classrooms at South Elementary recently participated in a gingerbread house activity where the students and a family member teamed up to build one using supplies donated by the students' families! Here are some photo highlights!










SPHS BANDS HOST HOLIDAY CONCERT - The Saint Peter High School band department, under the direction of Dave Haugh, performed during its 2024 Holiday Concert on Monday evening at the Performing Arts Center.
Performing that evening were the SPHS Concert Band (grades 11 & 12), Varsity Band (grades 9 & 10), the Jazz Band (grades 9-12), and the Percussion Ensemble. The evening ended with the Concert and Varsity bands coming together to perform “The Nightmare Before Christmas: Part One”.

SPMS HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT - Band students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades at Saint Peter Middle School staged their annual Holiday Band Concert on Monday evening at the SPHS Performing Arts Center in front of a large crowd of family and friends.
