Several cast and crew members of Saint Peter High School’s fall musical production of ‘The Addams Family’ were honored recently through the Hennepin Art’s Spotlight Education program. See the accompanying graphic for those who were honored!
Hennepin Arts provides essential arts education and community enrichment in Minnesota through programs like Spotlight Education. Thousands of students throughout Minnesota benefit from enhanced theater education each year. Hennepin Arts transforms the Hennepin Theatre District with vibrant, inclusive programs, fostering a sense of community and diversity.
Spotlight Education is a non-competitive program that focuses on theater education and growth. Additionally, SPHS fall play cast members Rebekah Roemhildt and Isabelle Mish are invited to perform in the Spotlight Showcase at their festival in June 2025. Those two were selected to perform by evaluators based upon their outstanding performances!


SPHS SAINTS OF THE WEEK - Congrats to SPHS junior Deontre Torres and freshman Lucia Penner for being named Saint Peter High School's Saints of the Week. Those two were recognized by the SPHS staff for showing respect, acting responsibly, and living with integrity!


SPHS CHOIR HOSTS DECEMBER CONCERT! The Saint Peter High School Choir staged its annual December concert on Monday evening at the Performing Arts Center in front of an overflow crowd! This year's theme was "Finding Home" and those groups that performed included Bellas (treble ensemble) , Duphi (tenor/bass ensemble), Chamber Singers, Saints Choir (9th grade), Varsity Choir (10th grade), and SPHS Concert Choir (11th & 12th grade). SPHS CHOIR CONCERT IS TONIGHT! Saint Peter High School Choir will stage its annual holiday concert tonight (Monday) at 7:30 p.m. at the SPHS Performing Arts Center! This year's theme is "Finding Home" and the choir will be under the direction of Brianna Bergstrom.

SOUTH ELEMENTARY TAKES IN ICE SKATING SHOW - South Elementary students had a thrill earlier today (Thursday) as they took in the Southern Minnesota Skating Club's preview show for this weekend's annual Winter Exhibition at Gustavus's Lund Arena. One of South's kindergarten students, Viva Marquart-Brown, was one of the skaters in the school.
SMSC's Winter Exhibition is set for Saturday (Dec. 7) at 5:30 p.m. at Lund Arena and it is open to the public. Tickets are available at the door: general admission (ages 13 & up) is $10, ages 4-12 is $5, and ages 3 & under get in free! 7TH & 8TH GRADE CHOIR CONCERT - It was an evening of fun holiday music as the 7th and 8th graders at Saint Peter Middle School took to the SPHS Performing Arts Center stage for their “Sounds of the Season” winter concert on Tuesday evening.
Bri Bergstrom, SPMS choir teacher, directed the show while Isabel Panciera provided the accompaniment on the piano. The students performed six holiday-themed songs during the show, much to the delight of a large crowd at the PAC. Here are some photo highlights from the festive concert!

SPMS 5TH GRADE WINTER CONCERT - Fifth graders at Saint Peter Middle School hosted their annual Winter Concert on Tuesday evening at the SPHS Performing Arts Center, under the direction of Jamie Abels. SPPS HAS FIVE LUNCH TABLES FOR SALE - Saint Peter Public Schools will accept sealed bids for seven 16-seat lunch tables starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, until 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29. Sealed bids should be submitted to SPPS Operations & Maintenance Supervisor Seth Putz's office (room 216 in Saint Peter Middle School building). Any questions should be directed to Seth at sputz@stpeterschools.org.

DRIVER EDUCATION INFO - The fall Driver Education parent informational meeting will be on Monday, Nov. 4 from 6-7:30 p.m. in room 118 at Saint Peter Middle School. Enter through the District Office entrance (door R). This is an optional meeting for parents wishing to learn more about their teenager getting a permit or driver’s license. 2024 SPHS YEARBOOKS ARE IN! After a little glitch in the system, the 2024 Saint Peter High School yearbooks have arrived and are ready for pickup starting this (Tuesday) morning.
Students in grades 10-12 this year (last year's 9th, 10th & 11th graders) who preordered a copy can pick it up in Mr. Hildebrandt's office (B128 - across from the concession stand/gym entrance).
Last year's seniors (SPHS Class of 2024) who preordered one can pick their copy up in the SPHS front office (enter through E6).
A limited number of extra copies are available for purchase, so see Mr. Hildebrandt if you'd like to purchase one or if you have any further questions please contact him via email at kuhildebrandt@stpeterschools.org.


SOUTH ELEMENTARY ALPHABET FASHION SHOW - As a way to celebrate making their way through learning all 26 letters of the alphabet, some South Elementary kindergarten classes got together at two different times on Wednesday morning in the South Media Center to stage their annual Alphabet Fashion Show. SOUTH STUDENTS VISIT APPLE ORCHARD - South Elementary first graders are taking turns visiting Ferguson's Minnesota Harvest apple orchard over the next two weeks. Yesterday (Monday) it was Mrs. Bjorklund's and Ms. Alderman's class turn to make the trip and they provided some photo highlights!
Ferguson's Minnesota Harvest, located in rural Jordan, is home to a large pick-your-own apple orchard, pumpkin patch, corn maze, and many activities for all ages in its Apple Blossom Park. https://fergusonsorchard.com/twin-cities-home/






SPHS FFA FARM FIELD IS HARVESTED - The Saint Peter High School FFA farm field was harvested in late September thanks to Terry and Cole Pankratz, SPHS FFA alumni.
"The FFA field looks a little different this year due to the Traverse Green developments," SPHS FFA Co-Advisor Jacob Pehrson said. "We are grateful for our city partnerships and the dedication our community farm families have within our school district and FFA."
